• Palazzo Ducale: more than 500 rooms, Palace in the shape of a city, expression of the princes’ taste refinement, ever opened construction site where each Gonzaga, thanks to Pisanello, Andrea Mantegna, Giulio Romano, Rubens ..., leaves his own signs.
  • Palazzo Te: mirror of the Dolce Vita at Federico II court, the gentle first born of Isabella d’Este Gonzaga, cultured patron of Giulio Romano’s genius. Impudent celebration of himself and of Charles V imperial might.
  • The town centre, Piazza Sordello, Piazza Broletto and Piazza Erbe, Piazza Mantegna: metaphor for the style superimposition, that Mantua embodies; Mantua at the time of the free Medieval Commune, before the Gonzagas’ time, reflection of the merchants’ economical and political power.
